The latest entrant in the competition, SSL Team Puerto Rico "Los Boricuas", wins the first-ever race of the SSL Gold Cup 2022 Qualifying Series. Head-to-head with SSL Team Bermuda "Privateers", Puerto Rico captained by Raul Rios, finally benefited from the important wind shifts before Mark 3(upwind) to roll to victory.
SSL Team Antigua & Barbuda "Rum Runners" finishes 2nd in front of SSL Team Bermuda just on the finish line. Over at the start, SSL Team Tahiti "The Black Pearls" ends 4th but very close from the rest of the pack.
