Thailand's Weka Bhanubandh won the title of 2023 ILCA 4 Youth World Champion by 21 points, with the USA’s James Pine finishing second. This result is exactly the same as the 2022 Optimist World Championship, held in Bodrum, Turkey, showing how Optimist sailors progress on to other classes and continue to find success.

These sailors will be ones to watch as their careers progress and we at SSL HQ will be keeping a close eye on them!
