Croatian sailor Tonci Stipanovic is already number #1 in the SSL Global Skipper Ranking, and the points he accrues this week will only reinforce that position.

The 2023 ILCA Senior European Championships at Andora, Italy was a difficult event to say the least, with the wind not playing ball for much of it, and a huge swell causing problems for sailors and race management alike, but the cream rose to the top, and in the ILCA 7 fleet, the double Olympic silver medallist Tonci Stipanovic prevailed on the final day to add another title to his name.
In the Women’s ILCA 6 fleet, The Netherlands’ Marit Bouwmeester won by a massive 18 points, which should see the Tokyo 2022 Olympic bronze medallist rise up the SSL Global Skipper Ranking from her current position of 42nd.
