The Eastern Hemispheres Championship started yesterday and it'll go on until Sunday, June 4th with as many as 70 teams from 15 Countries. The conditions here are usually made of thermal breeze from the sea never too strong, it is never too wavy, it is just perfect sailing condition. And so it was on the first day with 5-7 knots of wind.
The iconic town on the north in Tuscany cost represents an ideal spot for vacation for families and friends with the many great shops, wide beaches and one of the best of Italian yacht clubs. 
The eastern Hemisphere gives 750 SSL points to the winner so it makes it a very important event for Star Sailors eager to access the SSL Finals in December in Nassau, Baham00as.
Among these sailors there's a definitely Diego Negri with his longtime crew Sergio Lambertenghi, the doctor Hubert Merckelbach, one of the best star crew Frithjof Kleen sailing with the American Jack Jennings from Chicago, but also Irish sailor Peter O'Leary.
Next big event after this is definitely the Western Hemisphere in Cleveland in June and the Star World Championship in Denmark in July, worth 2,500 SSL Points.
