SSL TEAM TAHITI WINS THE FRIST RACE EVER OF AN SSL GOLD CUP EVENT

It’s been a long journey from the beginning of it all to today, and history was written today on lake Neuchatel. The first two races ever of an SSL Gold Cup event, the first of three test events, after so many trainings, and hours spent working on the boats, on the concept and growing with the 56 national teams as a whole ambitious and revolutionary project. One that sailing has never seen before.

Two races were sailed today in light wind and rain on lake Neuchatel, one for each of the two fleets made of four teams. The final results for the first fleet are:

1. Tahiti
2. South Africa
3. France
4. Thailand

And for the second:

1. Turkey
2. Malaysia
3. Ukraine
4. Mexico

So Tahiti is the first team to ever win a race at an SSL Gold Cup event. History was written today on lake Neuchatel. More races tomorrow and so on until the final knock-out series on Sunday.
